Republic County Community Foundation scholarships available

BELLEVILLE, Kan.—The Republic County Community Foundation is now accepting scholarship applications for the 2023-2024 school year. Seven scholarships are available to area students:

  • Amos and Joyce Blecha 4-H Scholarship, for graduating high school seniors in Republic County, with involvement in 4-H.
  • Bruce Bowersox Memorial Scholarship, for graduating Republic County High School seniors majoring in an engineering field.
  • Clara Dowell Memorial Scholarship, for female graduates or female students qualifying for graduation from a high school in Republic County or a non-traditional student living in Republic County.
  • Florea Family Scholarship, for graduating high school seniors in Republic County who are planning to major in business administration or agricultural economics.
  • Johnson-Granstedt Memorial Scholarship, for graduating high school seniors in Republic County, with preference to USD 426 students.
  • Joyce and Jim Hill Scholarship, for graduating seniors in Republic County.
  • Scott Family Scholarship, for graduating high school seniors in Republic County, with preference to USD 109 students.

All scholarship applications must be submitted through the foundation’s online scholarship portal by February 15, 2023. Scholarships will be awarded by mid-April. The application portal and scholarship guidelines can be found at www.republiccountycf.org/scholarships.
