Republic County Community Foundation scholarships available

BELLEVILLE, Kan.—The Republic County Community Foundation is now accepting scholarship applications for the 2021-2022 school year. Six scholarships are available: Amos and Joyce Blecha 4-H Scholarship, for graduating high school seniors in Republic County, with involvement in 4-H. Bruce Bowersox Memorial Scholarship, for graduating Republic County High School seniors majoring in an engineering field. Florea Family Scholarship, for graduating high school seniors in Republic County who are planning to major in business administration or agricultural economics. Republic County Community foundation awards over $111,000 in fall grants BELLEVILLE, Kan.— During its fall grant cycle, the Republic County Community Foundation awarded over $111,000 to 17 projects throughout Republic County. The following organizations received funding: City of Cuba, $15,000 for handicap accessibility, landscaping and display cabinets for the Cuba Heritage Center. Belleville Main Street, $13,000 to install a wireless sound system downtown.
