Republic County Community Foundation awards over $75,000 in Fall Grants
BELLEVILLE, Kan.— During its fall grant cycle, the Republic County Community Foundation awarded over $75,000 to 22 projects throughout Republic County. The following organizations received funding:
· Blair Center for the Arts Foundation, $2,700, Free-Admission to Wichita Children’s Theater.
· Belleville Main Street, $1,299.44, Office window shades.
· City of Belleville, $800, 2025 Fishing Tournament supplies & prizes.
· City of Scandia, $15,000, Groundwork & materials for new wing of Scandia Museum.
· Community Access Television of Salina, Inc., $2,000, Minersville Production.
· Desire Tobey Sears Chapter, NSDAR, $654.75, St. Katherine Cemetery metal flag holders & flags.
· High Banks Hall of Fame, $3,000, Inground Sprinkler System.
· Mount Pleasant Cemetery, $3,000, Cemetery fence.
· Rae Hobson Memorial Library, $12,068.50, Basement renovations.
· Republic County, $1,189.90, Republic County Health Department infant car seats.
· Republic County, $1,000, Republic County Daycare Provider education.
· Republic County Czech Club, $3,000, 50th Anniversary activities.
· Smoky Hills Public Television, $500, Educational resources for Republic County children.
· USD 109, $1,134, to support the junior class etiquette dinner at Rock Springs Ranch.
· USD 109, $5,000, Meals of Hope Project.
· USD 109, $12,000, Band equipment.
· USD 109, $1,559.97, 2024 Digital Photography cameras & tripod.
· USD 109, $2,000, RCHS cheer uniforms.
· USD 109, $2,605, RCHS Juniors ACT Class.
· USD 109, $1,314.28, Leather making supplies & skills workshops.
· USD 426, $800, Closet storage for hygiene & clothing closet at Pike Valley High School.
· White Rock Cemetery, $3,000, Tree, fence and directory maintenance.
This round of grants was made possible by three funds at the foundation: the community foundation’s Dane G. Hansen Community Grant Fund and the Republic County Community Action fund, which both support projects and programs that improve the community’s quality of life and the Kansas Health Foundation Fund for Republic County which support the public health of Republic County.
