Republic County Community Foundation Awards Over $120,000 in Spring Grants

During its Spring grant cycle, the Republic County Community Foundation awarded more than $120,000 to support 22 projects across Republic County.

The following organizations received funding:

  • Blair Center for the Arts Foundation – $7,560.89 to purchase movies & items needed for the “No School” Summer Movie Series (Summer 2025)
  • Belleville Main Street – $2,908 to purchase items for a mural on the side of the bowling alley
  • Belleville Main Street – $1,000 toward the Belleville Beats Summer Concert Series
  • City of Agenda – $10,000 toward fire safety equipment
  • City of Belleville – $10,000 toward fire safety equipment
  • City of Belleville – $3,500 toward Republic County Home-Based Childcare Recruitment
  • City of Scandia – $2,000 toward the Buffalo Park Golf Course revitalization
  • City of Scandia – $2,500 toward the new computers at the Scandia City Library
  • City of Courtland – $2,500 toward the Courtland Arts & Events Cornerstone Project
  • City of Cuba – $10,000 toward fire safety equipment
  • City of Cuba – $2,500 toward Phase 1 of the Revitalizing Recreation with Multi-Use Courts project
  • Courtland Community Arts Council – $1,500 toward camera, lighting, and sound equipment
  • K-State Research & Extension River Valley District – $3,761.91 for “Roll the Dice & Grab a Slice” events, to purchase items to provide meals and games for families
  • Norway Township – $2,700 to purchase an industrial kitchen sink at the Norway Gym
  • Republic County – $10,000 toward the NCK Fairground improvements to the swine, bucket calf, and poultry barns
  • Republic County – $15,000 toward fire safety equipment (split between Munden and Narka)
  • Republic County – $5,000 toward community activities with the Addiction & Suicide Prevention & Education Coalition
  • Republic County Hospital – $5,000 toward modernization of cardiac emergency equipment
  • Republic County Hospital – $3,500 toward a Mighty-Matic Bariatric Hi-Lo Mat Treatment Table for rehab services
  • Republic County 4-H Council – $14,283.24 to purchase items for updates to the 4-H building
  • USD 426 – $1,591 to purchase a 3D printer for the STEM classroom
  • USD 426 – $4,000 toward greenhouse upgrades at Pike Valley Schools

This round of grants was made possible by five funds held at RCCF: the community foundation’s Dane G. Hansen Community Grant Fund, the Republic County Community Action Fund, which support projects and programs that improve the counties quality of life, the Kansas Health Foundation Fund for Republic County which support the public health of Republic County, the Republic County Health Fund and the North Central Kansas Healthcare Foundation Fund which both serve as a means to support public health initiatives.
