Republic County Community Foundation Announces Scholarship Recipients

BELLEVILLE, Kan.— The Republic County Community Foundation has awarded over $24,000 in scholarships to area students for the upcoming academic year. The following students received scholarships:

· The Amos and Joyce Blecha 4-H Scholarship is for seniors graduating from a Republic County high school who are involved in 4-H. Emma Hubert and Zachary Piroutek, both of Belleville, KS, received this scholarship.

· The Clara Dowell Legacy Scholarship is for female graduates or female students qualifying for graduation from a Republic County high school, or a non-traditional student living in Republic County, Kansas. Gracia Siemsen, Belleville,KS was the recipient of this scholarship.

· The Clarence Goppert Family Scholarship is for high school seniors qualified for graduation or a graduate of a high school in Republic County, KS. Emma Hubert and Grant White, both from Belleville, KS; Kadence Henke, Cuba, KS each received this scholarship.

· The Johnson-Granstedt Memorial Scholarship is for graduating high school seniors in Republic County, with preference to USD 426 students. Raelyn Bolte, Randall, KS, received this scholarship.

· The Joyce and Jim Hill Scholarship is for graduating high school seniors in Republic County. Grace Baxter, Haddam, KS received this scholarship.

· The Scott Family Scholarship is for graduating high school seniors in Republic County, with preference to USD 109 students. Camryn Reynolds and Hattie Brzon, both of Belleville, KS each received this scholarship. Katrina Ball and Brianna Maldonado, both of Belleville, KS; Carolina Barraza and Ethan Benne, both of Courtland; Kiersten Morgan, Webber, KS each received a renewal scholarship.
