RCCF Launches $40K Match for Fund the Future Event May 1

Have you heard? The Republic County Community Foundation (RCCF) is thrilled to introduce its newest event: Fund the Future — a one-day matching initiative designed to boost visibility and long-term endowment growth for local nonprofits.

Thanks to the success of RCCF’s December Match Month campaign and support from the Patterson Family Foundation, $40,000 in matching funds has been set aside for qualifying nonprofits participating in Fund the Future. Donor gifts received during the event will be matched proportionally, up to 50%, from RCCF’s $40,000 match pool.

Fund the Future will take place on Thursday, May 1st, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Kallman Office Suites building in Belleville. RCCF invites community members from across Republic County to attend. Twenty-two area nonprofits will be onsite, and Jitters on the Go will serve lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The event will resemble a college fair-style atmosphere — but instead of college booths, attendees will find 22 nonprofit booths. Donors will have the opportunity to chat directly with nonprofit representatives, learn about current projects, ask questions, and decide where they want their donations to go. It’s a chance to connect with the missions that matter most to them.

Non profits participating are: Ada Lutheran Church, Belleville Public Library, Blair Center for the Arts, Chester Ambulance Fund, Chester Volunteer Fire Dept, Church People Concerned Foundation Inc, Courtland Community Arts Council, Courtland Covenant Church, Cuba Booster Club, Cuba Community Foundation, Distinguished Young Women of Kansas, High Banks Hall of Fame, Munden Community Foundation Fund, Pike Valley Foundation, Republic County 4-H Foundation, Republic County Economic Development, Republic County Historical Society, Republic County Resource Council, Republic County Schools USD 109, Scandia Community Foundation, Strnad Family Fund and The Maya Project.

A unique initiative highlights youth philanthropy by giving every 5th grader in Republic County $10 to donate to a participating local nonprofit of their choice—encouraging students to explore the power of giving and make a meaningful impact, even at a young age.

RCCF Executive Director Molly Williams shared, “We are so excited to kick off this event! Our area nonprofits do so much for our communities. RCCF is honored to be able to partner with them to promote their missions and help build long-term endowments. Giving it back will make an impact! Your $100 donation turns into $150 and goes to the nonprofit(s) of your choice!”

Can’t attend in person? No problem! Donations can be made online from April 28 through midnight on May 1, by mail (postmarked and received by May 1), or through an existing RCCF Donor Advised Fund. Checks should be made payable to RCCF, with the name of the receiving fund noted in the memo line.
