Republic County Residents Leave a Legacy with Estate Gift to RCCF
BELLEVILLE, KS – The Republic County Community Foundation (RCCF) is honored to announce a generous estate gift that will benefit the community for generations to come. Through their estate, the late Dwayne and Marian Lea Turner directed $50,000 to the Belleville Public Library Fund, supporting library programs and improvements, and another $50,000 to the Republic County Community Foundation Action Fund, which provides grants to address local needs. Both gifts are permanently endowed, ensuring continued support for the community.
A longtime Republic County resident, Dwayne Turner never met a stranger and enjoyed life to the fullest. His sense of humor and storytelling captured the hearts of many. After moving to Belleville in 1951, he owned and operated Turner’s Auto Repair before later working for North Central Kansas REA. In 1961, he married Marian Lea, and together they built a life on their farm outside of Belleville, raising American Quarter Horses and Angus cattle for 61 years.
“We are deeply grateful for this meaningful gift and the lasting impact it will have,” said Molly Williams, director of RCCF. “This generosity reflects a true commitment to Republic County and will continue to benefit future generations.”
Planned gifts like Dwayne & Marian Lea’s help strengthen RCCF’s mission to support community projects and initiatives. These funds are permanently endowed and will grow to provide annual income to the charities, giving today for a better tomorrow Those interested in leaving a legacy gift can learn more by visiting republiccountycf.org or contacting the foundation directly.
