Republic County Community Foundation Announces 2025 Scholarship Recipients

The Republic County Community Foundation has awarded over $24,000 in scholarships to area students for the upcoming academic year. This includes 9 scholarships that are being renewed for recipients from previous years. The following students received scholarships:

· The Amos and Joyce Blecha 4-H Scholarship is for seniors graduating from a Republic County high school who are involved in 4-H. Avery Stindt, Belleville, KS and Sean Morgan, Webber, KS, each received this scholarship.

· The Bruce Bowersox Memorial Scholarship is for a graduating Republic County High School seniors majoring in engineering. Ethan Ines received this scholarship.

· The Clara Dowell Legacy Scholarship is for female graduates or female students qualifying for graduation from a Republic County high school, or a non-traditional student living in Republic County, Kansas. Abigail Knoll, Narka, KS was the recipient of this scholarship.

· The Clarence Goppert Family Scholarship is for high school seniors qualified for graduation or a graduate of a high school in Republic County, KS. Benedict Baxa, Ethan Ines and Rachel Patel, all from Belleville, KS; each received this scholarship. Emma Hubert and Grant White of Belleville KS and Kadence Henke of Cuba, KS each received renewal scholarships.

· The Florea Family Scholarship is for graduating high school seniors from a Republic County, KS high school planning to major in Business Administration or Agricultural Economics. Benedict Baxa, Belleville KS and Abigail Knoll, Narka, KS each received this scholarship.

· The Joyce and Jim Hill Scholarship is for graduating high school seniors in Republic County. Sean Morgan, Webber, KS received this scholarship.

· The Lewis-Pruitt Scholarship is in its first year and is for graudating high school seniors from a Republic County, KS high school. Keirra Bates and Avery Stindt, both of Belleville, KS each received this scholarship.

· The M.C. Hess and Margaret Hess Boyle Educational Fund for Republic County Scholarship is new to RCCF and in its first year. This scholarship is for graduates or students from Republic County, KS. Preference is given to applicants from Narka, Munden and Cuba areas. Olivia Strnad and Hanna Orr, both of Munden, KS each received this scholarship.

· The Scott Family Scholarship is for graduating high school seniors in Republic County, with preference to USD 109 students. Rachel Patel and Ethan Ines, both of Belleville, KS each received this scholarship. Camryn Reynolds, Hattie Brzon, Brianna Maldonado and Brandon Allen all of Belleville, KS; Carolina Barraza, Courtland, KS and Kiersten Morgan, Webber, KS each received a renewal scholarship.
