Community foundation accepting applications for fall grants

The Republic County Community Foundation is now accepting applications for fall grants. Online applications are due Sunday, September 15, 2019.

Over $75,000 is available to charitable projects in Republic County. Grants will be awarded from the following funds:

  • Dane G. Hansen Community Grant Fund – available for programs and projects that address education, health care, community social services and security, conservation and environment, arts and culture, and community beautification.
  • Kansas Health Foundation Fund for Republic County, North Central Kansas Health Care Foundation Fund and Republic County Health Fund – support public health programs that support and encourage healthy living across Republic County.
  • Republic County Community Action Fund – available for projects that improve the quality of life for Republic County residents.

Grants are limited to communities in Republic County and will be awarded through a competitive application process. Nonprofit organizations, government and public entities, educational institutions and churches are encouraged to apply. Applications must be submitted online by 11:59 p.m. on September 15. During its spring grant cycle, the community foundation awarded over $81,000 to 21 different charitable projects across Republic County.
